The company is currently housed at Embarc Collective and plans to create 30 new jobs
Tampa, Fla. (November 18, 2021) – Shufflrr, a presentation management solutions company, announced today it has relocated from New York to Tampa, Florida. The company has established its operations at Embarc Collective and plans to create 30 jobs over the next three years in roles such as sales, business development and account management.
Co-founded by the brother-sister team of James Ontra and AlexAnndra Ontra, Shufflrr is a presentation management solution that allows enterprises to better manage content and tell their story. In Shufflrr, every file is formatted as a slide, ready to present. It keeps messaging, branding, images, data, and more synchronized in a presentation library, empowering dispersed groups like sales and training teams to easily share files, build decks and show presentations from any device, anywhere.
“Tampa provides a lower cost of living and fewer business barriers, which will better position us to grow Shufflrr over the next several years,” said James Ontra, co-founder and CEO of Shufflrr. “We visited multiple cities and were won over by Tampa’s business-friendly environment and growing tech ecosystem. We’re excited to plant roots in Tampa and grow our operations from this vibrant community.”
This project was made possible in strong partnership with Embarc Collective and the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council. Shufflrr joins a growing list of tech companies that have recently relocated or expanded their operations to Tampa and Hillsborough County, including Drift, JustProtect, TrustLayer, OPSWAT, and Fast.
“AlexAnndra and James bring a tremendous amount of experience from markets around the country to Tampa Bay,” said Lakshmi Shenoy, CEO of Embarc Collective. “They have been a welcome addition to the growing startup community we’re seeing locally.”
“Tampa is quickly growing as a top destination for talented tech entrepreneurs seeking a better quality of life and friendlier business environment to grow their tech companies,” said James Nozar, chair of the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council, and Strategic Advisor to the Board of Strategic Property Partners. “We’re excited to welcome Shufflrr to Tampa and we look forward to supporting them as they ramp up operations here.”
Shufflrr is already becoming an active member of Tampa’s startup and technology ecosystem. AlexAnndra Ontra is part of Tampa Bay Wave’s TechWomen Rising Accelerator and will present at Demo Day on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
Shufflrr is co-founded by the brother-sister team of James Ontra and AlexAnndra Ontra. The duo have worked together since 2000, developing and marketing presentation software. They founded their own company, Ontra Presentations, in 2002. Over the years, they’ve developed several different presentation applications for hundreds of Fortune-level clients. They are still developing presentation management solutions that help their clients share, shuffle and show their content. While the technology has certainly changed over the years, the market and the need is still the same. Business to business sales and training teams who need a fast, simple way to create, give and share presentations, all while ensuring brand and message compliance.
